Secretary Richard Sullivan presented the MWRA's Education Program and Meg Tabacsko with the Secretary's Award for Excellence in Energy and Environmental Education, after WAC nominated her. Ria Convery, Special Assistant to the Executive Director, accepted the award for Meg.

The MWRA School Program reaches over 11,000 K-12 children and their teachers both during the school year and through the summer with hands-on, thought-provoking experiments and demonstrations of the importance and health significance of water supply and wastewater treatment. No other program in the state focuses quite as comprehensively on this important resource.
