Think Before You Flush!

Flush, flush, flush, don't be in a rush.
Think before you flush!

So many things cause our drains harm,
but if we're careful there's no need for alarm.

Some candy like lollipops and taffy can be sticky,
these belong in the trash, not the toilet...
C'mon everyone it's not that tricky.

Diapers and baby wipes don't belong.
Medicines and vitamins are also wrong.

Items we use in the bathroom each day,
like bandages and Q-tips must be thrown away.
These belong in the barrel not down the drain,
clogging our pipes and bringing us pain.

Cat litter is another one we need to beware.
Although our cat uses it like a toilet,
it doesn't go there.

If oil or paint is left in the can, be careful and think...
Don't dump it in the toilet or in the sink.

When you're done brushing your teeth and using your floss,
Aim it at the barrel not the toilet when you give it a toss.

If we all do our part,
Boston Harbor will stay clean,
at least that's a start.
