MWRA Work May Impact Traffic in West Roxbury

work location

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority will begin excavation to retrofit a blow-off valve at Morton Street and Selden Street in West Roxbury see map, (PDF) on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Work is expected to take approximately two weeks.

Discolored water and reduced water pressure are not anticipated but are possible in parts of Dorchester and Milton. Discoloration can be flushed by removing aerators and running cold water through any affected taps. Please note that iron will stain light colored items in your laundry, especially when bleach is used. Residents may want to wait for the water to clear before using it.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact MWRA Community Coordinator, Jeffrey McLaughlin at (617) 305-5762 or  jeffrey.mclaughlin@mwra.com.
