MWRA Water Main Maintenance Likely to Cause Discolored Water and Slightly Lower Water Pressure in Areas of Hyde Park and Milton

Update: 10/25/16: MWRA Water Main Maintenance Likely to Cause Discolored Water and Slightly Lower Water Pressure in Areas of Hyde Park and Milton for Three Days Starting October 26, 2016 On October 25, 2016, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority will be conducting water main maintenance at the intersection of Hyde Park Ave. and West St. in Hyde Park. The project is estimated to be completed by Tuesday November 1, 2016. The maintenance work requires water mains to be isolated and will likely result in a slight change in water pressure and discolored water in parts of Hyde Park and Milton during a three day period starting on October 26, 2016. If discolored water does occur, it will result from a small amount of iron in local pipes. Please note that iron will stain light colored items in your laundry, especially when bleach is used.
