MWRA Work May Cause Discolored Water
in Parts of Stoneham, May Affect Traffic

On Tuesday, August 2, 2016, MWRA will be isolating a water line on Woodland Road in Stoneham. This work will take place in the left lane of the southbound side of Woodland Road near Pond Street. This work may result in discolored water in the area of Stone Zoo up to the Friendly’s on Main Street.

If discolored water does occur, it will result from a small amount of iron in local pipes. Please note that iron will stain light colored items in your laundry, especially when bleach is used. Residents may want to wait for the water to clear before using it.

If you have any questions, please call Katherine Ronan at (617) 788-1177, or MWRA's 24-hour water line at (617) 305-5950.
