The Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies http://www.amwa.net/ and the Water Research Foundation http://www.waterrf.org/Pages/WaterRFHome.aspx have released a comprehensive report on the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority's response to the May 1, 2010 water main break. The comprehensive review, funded through a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, presents a case study of the drinking water emergency response process and analyzes the challenges, successes and lessons related to the process.
